Steamboat’s kids’ programs are recognized as some of the top kids’ programs in the U.S. by parents and kids alike. Our specially trained, kid-friendly staff cares about your child’s experience! We give parents the confidence of knowing their kids are in good hands and having a great time.

Rough Riders - 1st Grade thru 15 years
Skiers & Snowboarders - All Levels
"Rough Rider" clinics are available daily for kids and teens of all abilities, from 1st grade* through 15 years. Our goal is to make sure your child has a fun mountain experience, while learning the necessary skills to make skiing or snowboarding a lifelong sport. Wednesday is Vertical Challenge day! Thursday is Treasure Hunt day! Friday is ECO day! All mountain lift ticket is required for all ages and all levels.

• Children 1st Grade and older may ride a chair lift without an adult.
• All Day - Skiers & Snowboarders: 9:30am*-3:00pm daily.
• Half Day (Available Dec. 26-Jan. 6, 2008; Feb. 15-24, 2008; Mar. 8-30, 3008) - Skiers: 12:30pm*-3:00pm daily.

Dates for Value and Regular Season Pricing

• Lesson Times for Rough Riders 9:30am**-3:00pm daily.
• Value Season: Nov.26-Dec. 18, 2008 and Apr. 6-12, 2009.
• Regular Season: Dec. 19, 2008 - April 5, 2009.

*Meeting time only-the first 10-15 minutes will be organizational time before the classes depart base area.
*Lift ticket upgrades are available for $22.00 when you add to an all day lesson.

Desperado Ski & Snowboard Weeks
Our premier group product for Kids! "Desperados" Ski or Snowboard Week is the most exciting way for kids to spend a vacation! Kids and Teens, from 1st Grade through 15 years enjoy a week of skiing or riding with the same instructor and group, allowing the development of excellent skills and lifelong friends.  The Desperados program is offered every Monday through Friday ( Dec. 22 through Jan. 9, Feb. 16 through Mar. 27).  

• Daily Lunch Included.
• All Day Ski Clinics (9:00*am-2:45pm Monday-Friday)
• Includes Treasure Hunt on Wednesday & BBQ (weather permitting) & race ** on Friday.
• All participants receive a ball cap.
• Desperados Rate
• 5 All-Day Lessons $540.00

*Meeting time only - The following 10-15 minutes are organization time.
**Race is NASTAR format for students intermediate level and above.

Steamboat Teen Ski Challenge
Skiers - Intermediate and Advanced Levels 6-8

This is a great way for your teen, (ages 13-17), to meet new friends and refine skiing skills. Available during peak periods, Dec. 13, 2008 – Jan. 4, 2009; Feb 13-21, 2009 and March 7-29, 2009.

 All Day Ski Clinics Include:

• Daily Lunch Included
• All Day Ski Clinics (9:00*am-2:45pm daily) 
• Value Season: Nov.26-Dec. 18, 2008 and Apr. 6-12, 2009.
• Regular Season: Dec. 19, 2008 - April 5, 2009.

Meeting time only – The first 10-15 minutes will be organizational time before the classes depart base area.
Note:  Teens level 1-5 may purchase regular Rough Rider lessons and they will be placed into groups with other children of similiar age and ability.

Billy Kidd Performance Programs
Skiers Ages 1st Grade & up - Levels 6-8
Go for the gold with training from former Olympians & Coaches in skiing’s premier improvement program. Peak performance camps combine top coaching, multi-full-day format, extensive video and small groups. The results: more skiing, more improvement and more fun. Please visit the Billy Kidd Performance Center for more information on this program .

First Tracks
Skiers/Riders levels 4-8.  1.5 hours
Experience Steamboat like never before with this early skiing and riding opportunity. Whether it’s a sunny day, or one with heaps of Steamboat’s Champagne Powder®, you’ll be the first to enjoy our mountain. Ride the Gondola at 8:00am where our instructors will guide you through Steamboat’s famous Priest Creek area for some fabulous runs. First Tracks runs from 8:00am-9:30am daily.
